1. Acceptance of terms

By using Signvert, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the tool. These terms apply to all visitors and users of the service.

2. Description of service

Signvert is a free, browser-based tool that allows users to add a signature image to a PDF document. All processing occurs locally in the user's browser. Signvert does not provide legal advice, and use of this tool does not constitute legal counsel of any kind.

3. Acceptable use

You agree to use Signvert only for lawful purposes. You must not use the tool to:

  • Forge, falsify, or fraudulently alter documents.
  • Sign documents on behalf of another person without their authorisation.
  • Violate any applicable law or regulation.
  • Infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party.

4. Legal validity of signatures

Signvert produces a signature image embedded into a PDF. The legal validity of a digital signature depends on the laws of your jurisdiction and the requirements of the specific document or transaction. It is your responsibility to ensure that the method of signing meets any requirements imposed by the receiving party, your employer, or applicable law.

Signvert makes no representations or warranties regarding the legal enforceability of signatures produced using this tool in any particular context.

5. No warranties

Signvert is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Use of the tool is entirely at your own risk.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Signvert and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the tool, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of documents, or any harm arising from reliance on a signature produced by the tool.

7. Intellectual property

The Signvert name, logo, and interface design are the property of their respective owners. The underlying open-source libraries used by Signvert (including PDF.js and pdf-lib) are subject to their own respective licences.

You retain full ownership of any documents you upload and any signatures you create using the tool.

8. Changes to these terms

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the tool after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
